1. The nationalities were British, South African, Italian, Greek, Yugoslav, and, for the supply dropping operations, American, Polish and Russian. The aircraft at formation were Spitfires, Mustangs, Hurricanes, Beaufighters, Lysanders, Halifaxes, Baltimores, Dakotas, Liberators and Macchis, but by the end of the year this total had risen from 10 to 15 with the addition of Fortresses, Marauders, Savoia-Machetti 82's, Cant. 1007's and Airacobras.
