USS PC-489, 1942-1948

USS PC-489, a 173-foot submarine chaser, was built at Brooklyn, New York. She was commissioned in mid-July 1942 and served in the Atlantic and Caribbean area through the rest of World War II. PC-489 was decommissioned in December 1945 and sold in 1948.
