Christine, a 184 gross ton barge, was built by S. & E.S. Beldon in 1891. In December 1917, when she was owned by E. S. Beldon & Sons of Hartford, Connecticut, she was taken over by the Navy. Placed in service as Christine (ID # 2058), she was employed in New England waters during the rest of World War I and in the months following the November 1918 Armistice. Christine was sold in mid-August 1919.
This page features the only views we have concerning the barge Christine, which served in the Navy as Christine (ID # 2058) in 1917-1919.
