
Barge # 72, a 100' 6" (500 ton cargo capacity) wooden barge, was built at Tottenville, New York, in 1918 for the Moran Towing & Transportation Company of New York City. Taken over by the Navy at about the time of her completion and assigned registry ID # 2986, she was renamed Freight Lighter # 94. The barge spent her entire Navy career in the New York area, becoming YF-94 in 1920. She was disposed of in 1947.
