Almax II (American Motor Boat, 1912).
Served as USS Almax II (SP-268) in 1917-1919

Almax II, a 56¾-foot motor boat, was built in 1912 at Salisbury, Maryland, for use as a pleasure craft. In May 1917 she was acquired by the Navy and placed in commission as USS Almax II (SP-268). For the rest of World War I, and for some months after the November 1918 Armistice, she served on patrol duties in the vicinity of Hampton Roads, Virginia. Almax II was transferred to the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Servey in late March 1919. Returned to the Navy in February 1920, she was sold the following August.

Acquired by the Navy on 18 May 1917, she served as USS Almax II (SP-268) during World War I. She was transferred to the Coast and Geodetic Survey on 28 March 1919 and sold on 23 August 1920.
