3"/50 Anti-Aircraft Guns

Mounted atop the Number Three triple 14-inch gun turret of a battleship, circa the later 1910s or early 1920s.
This ship is either USS Pennsylvania (Battleship # 38) or USS Arizona (Battleship # 39).
Note the rangefinder mounted above the turret's rear, and plating and dismantled supporting structure for an aircraft flying-off platform atop the turret front. Location appears to be the Panama Canal.
The original image is printed on post card ("AZO") stock.

Donation of Charles R. Haberlein Jr., 2008.
