USS Cobra (SP-626)
In a New England port during World War I. USS L-10 (Submarine
# 50) is in the foreground. The bows of USS Parthenia
(SP-671) and USS Marold (SP-737) are visible at left,
tied up alongside each other, with Parthenia inboard.
The patrol boat tied up inboard of Cobra is unidentified.
The civilian motor boat Cobra was acquired by the Navy
on 19 September 1917 and commissioned on 4 November 1917. Following
World War I service, she was transferred to the Bureau of Fisheries
on 9 September 1919.
