Bessie (American Barge, 1899)

In port, prior to her World War I era Navy service. She was owned by McWilliams Brothers, of New York City.
Assigned the registry ID # SP-1755, this barge was taken over by the Navy on 1 November 1917. She was renamed SP-1755 on 11 April 1918 and was later renamed Coal Barge # 514. The barge was returned to her owner on 27 October 1919.
