Photo #: NH 99343 Barge # 76 (American Barge, 1918) Fitting out at the Harry Cossey Shipyard, Tottenville, New York, in 1918. Barge # 72 is partially visible in the left background. Built for the Moran Towing & Transportation Company, of New York City, Barge # 76 was inspected by the Third Naval District on 8 June 1918 and assigned the registry ID # 3030. Subsequently taken over by the Navy, she became Freight Lighter # 95 and later YF-95. Barge # 72 was assigned the registry ID # 2986 and subsequently became Navy Freight Lighter # 94 and later YF-94.
