Photo #: NH 99333 Walter Adams (American Fishing Vessel, 1890) In port, possibly on 12 June 1918 when she was inspected by the Sixth Naval District. This "menhaden fisherman" type steam trawler was acquired by the Navy on 23 June 1918 and commissioned as USS Walter Adams (ID # 400) on 1 October 1918.
