Photo #: NH 96868 Tyr (Norwegian Minelayer, 1959) Is transferred to the Norwegian Navy following conversion from USS Sustain (MMC-2, formerly MSF-119), at the Charleston Naval Shipyard, South Carolina. The transfer took place on 1 October 1959. The stern of Tyr's sister ship, Gor (converted from USS Strive, MMC-1, formerly MSF-117) is visible at the extreme right.
