Photo #: NH 96810 USS Missouri (BB-63) Sailors loading the ship with supplies, probably during her shakedown period, circa July-September 1944. An endless "human chain" carries boxes of Lucky Strike cigarettes from the truck up the gangway and onto Missouri's forward main deck. The original caption states: "An average of five cases of cigarettes is smoked during a tour at sea". Photograph was received by the Naval Photographic Science Laboratory on 30 October 1944.
