Photo #: NH 95889 Bivalve (American Oyster Boat, 1901) In port, prior to World War I. Acquired by the Navy on 19 April 1918 and commissioned on 10 May 1918 as USS Bivalve (# 2472), she served as a tender to USS Berkshire (ID # 1578). Bivalve was stricken on 7 July 1919 and sold on 19 July 1919. The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM. U.S. Naval Historical Center Photograph.
