Photo #: NH 94481 Dorothy (American Motor Boat, 1911) Photographed prior to World War I. This craft was ordered delivered to the Navy on 17 August 1917 and was reported as "already in service" on 13 September of that year. Following First World War service as USS Dorothy (SP-1289), on 27 November 1918 she was placed out of commission and returned to her owners, the Conservation Commission of Maryland.
