San Juan
(American Commercial Steamship, 1904)

In a Pacific Northwest port, prior to her World War I era Naval service.
This small steamer was built in 1904 by J.F. Duthie of Seattle, Washington. Owned by the San Juan Packing Company of Seattle, she was taken over by the Navy on 20 December 1917, placed in commission on 8 March 1918 as USS San Juan (ID # 1352), and returned to her owner on 12 February 1919.
