German heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen


Preparing to leave Kiel, Germany, circa early 1941.
Note "bedspring" radar antennas mounted on the front of her rangefinder shields. At this time, German' radar was used for rangefinding only, not for deflection.
Also note folding propeller guard attached to her hull side.
