USS Connecticut
(Battleship # 18)

View on the ship's fore deck, looking aft, possibly taken in San Francisco Bay, California, on 8 May 1908. Connecticut was flagship during the "Great White Fleet" World cruise of 1907-1909.
Note the large illuminated letters installed on the ship's bridge face, spelling out her name for exhibition purposes. "Great White Fleet" ships were so-fitted during their visit to San Francisco.
