"L" type submarines

Alongside their tender, in British waters during World War I.
Tender is probably USS Bushnell. Location is probably Berehaven, Ireland.
Submarines are (from left to right):
USS L-3 (Submarine # 42);
USS L-11 (Submarine # 51);
USS L-10 (Submarine # 50);
USS L-4 (Submarine # 43); and
USS L-9 (Submarine # 49).
Note differing forms of "chariot" bridges on these submarines; white markings on their foredecks; and 3"/23 deck guns in retracted position, just forward of the submarines' fairwaters.
