"Great White Fleet" World Cruise
,
December 1907 - February 1909

Six Atlantic Fleet battleships at Albany, Western Australia for coaling, circa mid-September 1908.
The three ships with black hulls (one of which is directly alongside a battleship) are probably colliers. The white-hulled ship at right is USS Glacier (Storeship, 1898-1922). Also present is a grey British cruiser, probably HMS Gibraltar.

Collection of Lieutenant Commander Richard Wainwright, 1928.
