Photo #: 80-G-462977 USS Yorktown (CV-5) At the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company, Newport News, Virginia, in June 1937, while preparing for sea trials. Note her chrome yellow flight deck markings, applied over maroon-stained douglas fir deck planking. USS Enterprise (CV-6) is fitting out in the drydock in upper center.
